Esiste un modo per testare la copertura del codice in Visual Studio se sto usando MSTest? O devo comprare NCover?
L'NCover Enterprise vale i soldi o le vecchie beta sono abbastanza buone se Microsoft non fornisce strumenti integrati per la copertura del codice?

Soluzione
Sì, è possibile trovare informazioni sulla copertura del codice all'interno di Visual Studio, a condizione che si disponga di una versione di Visual Studio che fornisce tale funzionalità, ad esempio il Team System. Quando si impostano i test unitari in VS.NET, verrà creato e aggiunto un file localtestrun.testrunconfig come parte della soluzione. Fare doppio clic su questo file e trovare l'opzione Copertura codice a sinistra sulla finestra di dialogo. Selezionare gli assiemi per i quali si desidera raccogliere informazioni sulla copertura del codice, quindi rieseguire i test unitari. Le informazioni sulla copertura del codice saranno raccolte ed disponibili. Per ottenere le informazioni sulla copertura del codice, apri la finestra dei risultati del test e fai clic sul pulsante Risultati della copertura del codice, che aprirà una finestra alternativa con i risultati.

MSTest include la copertura del codice, almeno nella versione di VS I. Tuttavia, è necessario abilitare la strumentazione nel testrunconfig, che è semplicemente brutto e un PITA importante.
Un'opzione molto più semplice è utilizzare TestDriven.NET , che può automatizzare la copertura, anche per MSTest. E poiché utilizza il core MSTest, ottieni ancora tutta la qualità VS come la colorazione (linee rosse / blu per il codice coperto).
